Congratulations to our three student-athletes on the Royalton-Upsala wrestling team that qualified for the individual state tournament!
172 Pounds - Brady Yourczek (Royalton)
189 Pounds - Jake Leners (Upsala)
285 Pounds - Brandon Mugg (Upsala)
These guys will head down to the MSHSL State Tournament at the Xcel Energy Center on Friday and Saturday!


Two senior high knowledge bowl teams competed at the regional meet in Staples today. We did didn't come home with any hardware, but I think they had fun! It was a great season and we look forward to next year!



Upsala Area Schools is looking for umpires for lower level baseball and softball games this upcoming spring. These include JV Baseball, Jr. High Baseball, JV Softball, and Jr. High Softball. If anyone has interest in umping games, please reach out to AD Zimmerman.

Our 7th/8th Grade Knowledge Bowl team competed today against 30 teams from 13 other schools at their Regional Meet!
Madison G, Aaron S, Owen K, Brookelynn S, Emily R, Emmalyn H, Bella W, Suzette G, and Natalya G.


A HUGE thank you to the Pine River-Backus girls basketball team for helping us spread awareness for Cancer! Our "Wall Of Honor" grew on Saturday and continues to grow. Thank you for ALL the donations that have came in already. We will continue to collect donation until after the DH games against Osakis this Friday.


What a fun weekend getting the alumni back in the gym! The old guys pulled out the win. Thanks to everyone for coming out and enjoying yourself! See you next year!

Upsala Area Schools will be 2 hours late due to the Extreme Cold Weather on Tuesday February 18th.
There will be no AM Cardinal Club.

What a long yet exciting day! Our Robotics program travelled out to Ashby schools for their scrimmage with 23 other schools.
Our team got to finish updates and repairs, collaborate with other teams, and drive their robot on a competition field!
3 weeks until grand forks!

Reminder that tomorrow is a busy day at Upsala Area Schools:
We will have an alumni basketball game at 10:00am, the public is welcomed to come and watch/laugh as the retired guys try to hoop!
At 12:00pm, both the Upsala Boys' JV and Girls' JV teams will take on Pine River-Backus.
At 1:30pm, the Girls' Varsity will take the court. At the conclusion of the Girls' Varsity game, there will be a Hall of Fame induction ceremony for Mitch Lange and Aimee (Pelzer) Arentz.
After the ceremony, approximately 3:00pm, the Boys' Varsity will take the court.
It will be a fun day, come on out to support your Cardinals and to help celebrate Upsala Hall of Fame's two newest members!

National FFA Week is next week, and we have lots of activities planned to celebrate! To start, here are our dress up days for next week!
