District Technology Coordinator/Teacher
The Technology Coordinator/Teacher is responsible for the overall support and integration of technology at the district level, split between technical administration and classroom instruction.
Technology Coordination & Infrastructure Management
District Technology Infrastructure: Maintain, monitor, and ensure the optimal performance of the district's network, servers, and overall technology backbone, coordinating closely with administration.
Device Management: Oversee the deployment, inventory, maintenance, and support of all student and staff devices (e.g., Chromebooks, laptops, tablets), including managing mobile device management (MDM) systems.
Software Management: Install, configure, update, and troubleshoot instructional and administrative software, manage licensing, and ensure compliance with district policies and vendor agreements.
Testing Data Management: Support the secure management, transfer, and submission of student data related to local, state, and federal assessments, ensuring data integrity and privacy.
Technical Support: Provide timely and effective Tier 2 technical support for hardware, software, and network issues for high school students and staff.
Teaching Assignment
Instruction: Teach assigned high school technology or computer science courses. This may include, but is not limited to, courses in coding, digital literacy, graphic design, or career and technical education (CTE) technology pathways.
Curriculum Development: Collaborate with faculty to integrate technology effectively across the curriculum and develop engaging, relevant technology course content.
Other Duties
Professional Development: Lead and provide ongoing technology-focused professional development and training for high school staff.
Strategic Planning: Assist the Administrative Team in developing and implementing the building-level and district-wide technology plan.
Safety & Policy: Ensure adherence to the district's Acceptable Use Policy (AUP) and all data privacy laws (e.g., FERPA).
As Assigned: Perform other technology-related and school-based duties as assigned by the administration.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Technology, Computer Science, Education, or a related field.
Proven experience in technical support, network administration, and/or device management, preferably in a K-12 environment.
Experience teaching technology or computer science, preferably at the high school level.
Minnesota Teaching License (preferred but not required for qualified technical candidates).
Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Compensation & Application
Salary Range: $25.00 - $45.00 per hour, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
