Behavioral Interventionist

Upsala area School is seeking a Behavioral Interventionist to join our team.  Interventionists will provide skills-based and supportive behavioral services to youth, staff, and families within the Upsala School District. Duties may include assessment, observation, and implementation of behavior modification plans in which staff can utilize in classroom and community setting. Additionally, development of curriculum for group settings, educational and training opportunities for school and parents, and consultation for youth, staff, and families and completing skills sessions with clients.

Essential Functions include:

  • Create and implement behavior modification plans in classroom and community settings

  • Develop curriculum for group activities

  • Develop educational and training opportunities for schools and parents

  • Review and promptly respond to referrals. 

  • Coordinate and conduct intake sessions to include: complete intake paperwork with the family, obtain billing information, authorizations and continued care requests as needed.  This will be done in conjunction with the clinical supervisor

  • Complete a treatment plan consistent with the needs identified in the evaluation, by the family and by the referring worker.  Ensure the clinical supervisor signs the treatment plan

  • Ensure all documentation is completed as mandated (current diagnostic assessments, ROI’s and renewing ROI’s, treatment plans, functional assessments, progress notes within 24 hours of service delivery)

  • Prepare and provide content to clients in an individual and group setting

  • Facilitate and co-facilitate client groups as agreed upon with the clinical supervisor and colleagues

  • Maintain contact with the referral source as agreed upon  

  • Ensure a diagnostic assessment has been completed initially and annually thereafter

  • Conduct transition planning and referrals as needed

  • Participate in Rule 29 and CTSS Supervision and Consultation at which time progress notes are submitted to the supervisor

Qualifications include:

  • Must qualify as a mental health practitioner as defined by the Minnesota Department of Human Services in one of the following ways:

    • Has at least 2,000 hours (approximately two years working full-time) of supervised work experience in the delivery of mental health services. OR

    • Holds a master's or other graduate degree in behavioral sciences or related fields. OR

    • Holds a bachelor's degree in behavioral sciences or related fields and completes a practicum or internship that (1) requires direct interaction with adults or children served, and (2) is focused on behavioral sciences or related fields.

  • Experience and training working with children.

  • A valid driver’s license

Assistant Girls Basketball Coach

Upsala High School is looking to hire an assistant for the upcoming girls' basketball season. 

Job Duties
- Assist the Head Coach with instructing players on the rules, regulations, and techniques of the sport ... will be coaching the junior varsity team.
- Commit to the entire basketball season from November 14th to February 23rd. The season could be longer depending on playoff success.
- Travel one to two times per week to away games, sometimes there are no away games in the week.
- Assess players' skills, monitor players during competition and practice, and determine game strategies. 
- Model sports-like behavior and maintain appropriate conduct towards players, officials, and spectators. 
- Participate in special activities including parents' night, banquets, and award nights. 

Minimum Qualifications
- Some experience coaching basketball at the high school level is preferred. 
- Must possess effective coaching techniques and skills.
- Must have knowledge of the rules, regulations, and strategies of the sport.
