Upsala Athletics Updates!
What a fun Saturday to unpack - here are some updates from today:
Jake Leners and Brandon Mugg competed in the individual state wrestling tournament yesterday and today. Jake went 2-2 in his first state individual appearance, while Brandon went 4-2 and took home 5th place! Congratulations to both of you!
The Upsala girls' basketball team knocked off BBE in the sub-section semifinal today in Hinckley by a score of 54-51. The game was tied at 51-51 with less than a minute left when Isabel Ripplinger hit a three-pointer to put the Cardinals ahead for the win! They will take on Braham in the sub-section final on Tuesday night at 7:00pm in Foley. More information will come on tickets and stream tomorrow.
The Upsala boys' basketball team earned the #1 seed in their section, they will open up their playoff run on Thursday at 7:00pm in Upsala.

I Love to Read Month guest readers in Kindergarten! ❤️
The 3 year old preschool class has been learning about things that go! Last week we painted and played with vehicles with wheels. This week we painted cloud pictures and talked about vehicles that fly in the sky! Next week: Boats Float!
In the month of February the 4 year old preschool class had guest readers. Thank you Ms. Heidi and Mrs. Wolbeck for sharing your love of reading with our classes!

Girls' Basketball Playoff Update - Saturday, March 1st
The girls' basketball team will take on BBE tomorrow afternoon at 1:45pm at Hinckley-Finlayson High School.
They are doing online ticket sales - please use this link to purchase your tickets. The ticket will be good for both games ( Swanville vs. Braham @ 12:00 ... Upsala vs. BBE @ 1:45).

More guest readers in first grade
What a fun way to make teaching more interactive and real. Our 9th graders were able to explore 3D images of their 5 senses and the Sophomores were able to explore careers using Sourcewell's VR technology.

The girls' playoff basketball game on Thursday, February 27th against Maple Lake will begin at 7:00pm in Upsala.
The MSHSL runs all postseason activities and is requiring Upsala to do online ticket sales - the link below will get you to the tickets for the game. You can scan your ticket upon entering the building. It will be $8.00 for adults and $5.00 for students. No punch cards or athletic passes can be accepted.

Kindergarten Round Up is March 7th at 8:30 a.m. Students who will be 5 years old on or before September 1, 2025 are eligible to register for kindergarten for the 25/26 school year. The Upsala Robotics Team - 4480 UC-Botics was featured in "Your Live Events'" Robotics stream from Week-0 in Ashby. Riley did a great job conversing with the interviewer and explaining the season and game!

Currently we have only two weeks left until our team leaves to Grand Forks!
There will be a State Tournament Sendoff for our three Royalton-Upsala wrestlers!
We will celebrate them by having them walk the school hallways on Wednesday in Upsala at 2:15pm, then escort them out of town to Royalton, where they will walk the school hallways there at 3:00pm.
All three will be competing on Friday at the Xcel Energy Center!
