Upsala Boys' Basketball - Section Championship Information:
The Upsala boys' basketball team defeated Braham last night by a score of 84-64, advancing to the Section Championship on Friday night against Nevis.
They will play at Halenbeck Hall at St. Cloud State University, the tip is scheduled for 7:45pm as they are the second game scheduled (1st Game - Albany vs. Spectrum @ 6:00pm). Upsala will be the away team for the contest.
Tickets MUST be purchased online. There are two options for seating: lower level ($10) or upper general admission ($8). There are only 500 lower level tickets sold for each school, so if you'd like to sit lower level you must purchase a lower-level ticket. This includes the student section!

Fans can enter through the NW and NE corners of the building, Upsala fans will sit on the West side of the gymnasium behind the team benches. Parkings lots M, N, and South Pay are designated for basketball games - parking lot K is an overflow lot if needed.
Again, it will be online tickets only. The gym was PACKED in Foley with Upsala fans, let's do it again on Friday at St. Cloud State with our boys' playing for a chance to go to the State Tournament!


Team 4480 left Wednesday morning to attend for their Robotics Competition. First as a team they toured UND's campus and visited the US Air Force base, before emptying the robot into the Alerus Center and then settling down for a nice Team Meal! Today will start their Competition!

The Cardinals will be the "home team" for the game, meaning all Upsala fans will have the south end of the gymnasium for seating. If you attended the girls' game last week in Foley, the seating will be opposite for the boys' game tomorrow evening.

The Upsala boys' basketball team defeated Swanville on Saturday afternoon, advancing to the Section 5A Semifinal against Braham. The game will take place at Foley High School on Wednesday, March 12th at 7:00pm.

Wilderness survival is learning how to build survival shelters. First up is a lean-to.






Today the 3s preschool class painted and played with water! We learned boats float!




The 5th and 6th graders are working on a unit that gives them an opportunity to create their own game and be the teacher in class. These students can be very creative and know how to involve all of their classmates!




The 4 year old preschool class read over 369 books in the month of February! Congratulations to Leila and Hayes for reading the most book in each class! Preschool LOVES to read!



Our students attended the CLC Career Exploration day. There they were able to see and experience, first person, a variety of career pathways and job opportunities.


We've had a couple people ask and yes, snowmobile safety WILL happen tomorrow regardless of how much snow cover we have.

The Upsala band received Superior ratings! Thank you Mr. Pohland and Pierz for hosting. Thank you Dr. Justin T. Zanchuk and Dr. Peter J. Haberman for the great clinic and comments. Snow stopped the other judges from coming, but we had a fantastic day listening and learning.


The boys' basketball team begins their playoff journey tomorrow night (Thursday) at 7:00pm in Upsala against Maple Lake. Once again, the Minnesota State High School League is requiring purchasing tickets online for the event.
