The preschool friends enjoyed "rescuing" penguins and winter gems from the ice this week. We practiced cooperation, teamwork, problem-solving and worked on our fine motor skills!

Congratulations to seniors Isabelle Klug and Jacob Brinkman, who both received their Triple A medals and certificates tonight at the Region 5A - District 19 AAA Banquet in Albany. They both presented speeches in front of a crowd of their peers from nine other school districts, their families, and school faculty members. Isabelle and Jacob both did an outstanding job and represented Upsala very well, Cardinal Country is proud of you! #Learn487 #CardinalPride

Senior high knowledge bowl competed today in Staples. All three Upsala teams finished in the top 10 out of 22 teams. The team of Jacob B, Caleb G, Paul B, Landon K, and Aiden B took 3rd, while the team of Addi H, Elyn Z, Owen S, Trygg A, and Ethan Y took 4th. Go Cardinals!

Congratulations to Upsala junior Sam Laliberte, who went over 1,000 career points in his varsity basketball career last night. Sam scored 21 points on the evening and the Cardinals defeated Section 5A opponent Mille Lacs by a score of 67-54 in Isle. Congratulations Sam, we are all so proud of you! #Learn487 #CardinalPride

Activity Updates - Tuesday, January 13th
Boys Basketball heads to Isle to take on section opponent Mille Lacs Raiders. The JV and C will both play at 6:15pm, the JV will be at the high school and the C will be at the Isle Rec Center.
Girls Basketball hosts Browerville/Eagle Valley at home tonight. The JV will play at 5:45pm, however they will only be playing 8-minute halves in the JV game. This means the Varsity game will start SOONER than normal.
Wrestling heads to Kimball, weigh-ins are at 4:00pm and wrestling begins at 5:00pm.

It is Kick Off day for FIRST Robotics and Team 4480. We finished CPR training and safety trainings this morning and now are watching the live stream for the New FIRST game- "Rebuilt"!
