We will be offering a free basketball camp for girls in grades 4-6 (24-25 School year) starting Monday July 29th. The camp will run from 6-7:30pm on Monday July 29th, Wednesday July 31st, Tuesday August 6th, and Wednesday August 7th. There will be no fee for this camp. Please email Coach Klug (nklug@upsala.k12.mn.us) and let him know if your daughter plans to attend and what dates they are able to make it.

Ending our summer basketball at Nana's kitchen (Nana's-Thank you for bringing our community together). Our team got better this summer and we are excited to see what the season has to offer.

The Upsala Hall of Fame Committee is now seeking applications for the 2024-25 school year. To be eligible as a former student-athlete, the student involved must have graduated at least ten years ago. To be eligible as a coach or former school employee, the individual must be two years retired from their coaching position or school position. The link to the online application or printable form is posted below. Nominations are due by the end of September. Isabelle Leners participated in the Minnesota Softball Coaches Association All Star game this past Sunday in Mankato. 88 seniors from the state were chosen to play. Isabelle's blue team won both games 4-3 and 6-5. She pitched and played first base. Congrats Isabelle!

And they are off! Joe and Nick Guthrie are headed down to the State Track & Field Meet this afternoon in St. Michael-Albertville. Joe competes this afternoon in the Triple Jump and 800m. Tomorrow Joe is back in action for the High Jump and Long Jump, while Nick will be in Discus. A special thank you to the Upsala Fire Department and Joe Trettel for giving them a fun escort out of Upsala!

Kinder Camp will be offered in the Upsala School District beginning August 12, 2024. The purpose of the program will be to provide a pre-school experience to children before they enter a formal school program in Kindergarten. Therefore, the program will be available to any child who will be five years old on or before September 1, 2024. Kinder Camp is set to run August 12 - 15th and will be held at the Upsala Elementary School. Children who are enrolled in the program will attend morning sessions from 9:00 - 11:30 a.m. Students will go Monday through Thursday that week. Busing information will be mailed or phoned in July. We hope you take advantage of this exciting opportunity for your child. If you would like to register your child, please call Upsala Area Schools at 320-573-2174.

Several USA Patriots competed at the 2024 Track & Field Section Championships this afternoon at St. John's University. Here are a few action shots, two Patriots will be competing at the State Meet next Thursday and Friday at St. Michael-Albertville High School. Joe Guthrie qualified for the Class A State Meet in ALL FOUR events he took part in ... High Jump, Triple Jump, Long Jump, and 800m. Nick Guthrie qualified for the Class A State Meet in Discus. Very proud of all of our athletes and good luck to Joe and Nick next week!

On Tuesday, Senior Isabelle Leners recorded her 700th strikeout of her high school career. Isabelle has the most strikeouts in Upsala Softball history and is the first to ever eclipse 700 strikeouts. Congrats Isabelle! Let's add more to that total tomorrow!
