During the Winter Olympics in February our K-6 Physical Education students completed their own games! They were able to compete in a version of curling, biathlon, speed skating, and bobsledding. At the end of the olympics we hosted an award ceremony in our PE classes. The sportsmanship and encouragement was amazing!

Two Upsala senior high knowledge bowl teams competed at the regional meet today, where the top four teams continue on to the State meet in April. One Upsala team showed up in style!! The other team was two points away from a spot at state. Amazing work, kids!

Fun flashlight read Friday in first grade!

Staff members Nicole Frie, Anna Wolbeck, Mindy Arnzen and Sarah Thomas dress in blue and gold as part of National FFA Week. Upsala Area Schools collectively dressed in special outfits each day this week to recognize the Upsala FFA chapter and their awesome agricultural education program, as well as community service efforts. Thank you Audrey Schleper (Upsala FFA alumni and educator) for your dedication to our program!

Tonight we have two special events happening in the main gym! First, the boys basketball team is hosting Senior Night against Ogilvie. Our four senior basketball players will be recognized directly after the C-Squad game, before Varsity warmups.

Second, we are honoring former Upsala Basketball standout Christian Pekarek, who will be inducted into the Upsala Hall of Fame tonight at halftime of the Varsity game.

It will be a fun evening, come on out and support the Cardinals and Christian!

Moving on! The Upsala Girls Basketball team defeated Ogilvie last night 65-59 in the first round of playoffs, advancing themselves to the Section 5A Quarterfinals vs. Braham.

The game will be at 12:00pm on Saturday, February 28th in Foley. The online ticket link is shared below - one ticket will get you into both the Upsala/Braham game at 12:00pm, as well as the Swanville/BBE game afterwards. Make sure to select the "East Girls' Semifinals" located in Foley.
