On Monday the travelers had an early start to catch the ferry for Scotland. After landing, we wound our way to Edinburgh. To break up the long bus ride, we made stops at Ayr Beach and The Kelpies. We arrived in Edinburgh with just enough time for a short orientation tour before heading to dinner and the hotel.

We want to express a huge THANK YOU to all of our school drivers! You play such a vital role in the lives of students and their families. Getting children to and from school safely is no small task, and your commitment to their well-being is truly appreciated. You're often the first and last friendly face they see each school day. Thank you for your care, patience, and dedication!

We have one more after school cookie decorating class this year - next Tuesday the 29th. Visit our website for more info and to register: https://www.upsala.k12.mn.us/page/cookie-decorating

On Sunday the group left Ireland and headed to Belfast in Northern Ireland. We began the day with an impactful tour of murals commemorating the times known as "The Troubles." We left messages on the peace wall, which still stands between the Catholic and Protestant sections of the city. We then had a bit of free time before heading to Titanic Belfast. That was followed by a fish and chips dinner at Granny Annie's. (The jury is still out on mushy peas.)

On Saturday the group toured St. Patrick's Cathedral and EPIC Museum of Irish Immigration. During free time, some took in the archaeology museum or the Book of Kells. Some were lucky enough to happen upon a rugby match. And it finally stopped raining!

After a loooong Toronto layover, we arrived to a damp Dublin!

Students from the College in Schools Government class—representing both Upsala and Swanville—had an unforgettable experience on Wednesday during their visit to the Minnesota State Capitol! 🇺🇸
They toured the Capitol building, spent time on the House floor, and gained firsthand insight into how our state government operates. A big thank-you to Representative Schulz and his staff for the informative and engaging tour!
After their civic adventure, the students enjoyed some fun and relaxation at a Minnesota Twins game. ⚾
This trip wouldn’t have been possible without the generous support of the Upsala Lions Club and the Swanville Lions Club—thank you for making this educational experience a reality!

The Track & Field meet scheduled in Pierz this evening has been cancelled. There will be no practice for the Track & Field athletes.
