Quinn Guthrie placed 29th at the Class A State Cross Country Meet! He ran a time of 16:43 on Saturday. His 29th place was out of 160 total state runners. Congrats on a great season Quinn!

Your USA Patriots football team will start their State Tournament journey on Friday, November 7th @ Becker High School!

The Patriots received the No. 3 seed in the "North" side of the State Quarterfinals, they will take on No. 2 seed Mahnomen-Waubun at 7:00pm.

We will be receiving ticket information, streaming information, and other important details later this evening - which we will post as soon as received.

The USA football team will be escorted in to both towns by the Swanville and Upsala fire departments after clinching a state football berth. They will be going down main street of Swanville around 5:40 and Upsala around 6:00.

Congratulations to Upsala teachers Amber Mayers and Chelsea Fuchs! Amber and Chelsea were recently recognized with the LEEA Award (Leadership Excellence in Education Award) from Resource Training & Solutions! They were honored for their amazing leadership in helping guide Upsala Schools through the READ Act implementation and for the awesome work they’ve done supporting students with reading and math interventions. We’re so proud of you both — thank you for all you do for our students and school community!

Congratulations to our two Upsala Triple A award recipients for the 2025-26 school year - Isabelle Klug and Jacob Brinkman!

The Triple A award is a MSHSL sponsored program that stands for Academics, Arts, and Athletics. The award is given to one male and one female in each District's senior class that embodies all three of these pillars within their respective school. The recipients will be honored at a regional banquet, where they will give a speech and have the chance to earn a scholarship!

All-State Honors for Upsala's Richelle Thompson!

Sophomore Richelle Thompson has been named to the 2025 Minnesota All-State Team for Girls Soccer!

Richelle is the first sophomore in Flyers Girls Soccer history to earn All-State honors and one of only five sophomores recognized statewide in Class AA this year. She is also just the fifth Flyer player ever to receive this prestigious recognition - a testament to her talent, her teammates, and the strength of the program.

Richelle was honored last Sunday at the MN State High School Soccer Coaches Association All-State Ceremony in St. Paul.
