Carol Lampert

Inducted in 2015

Carol (Ripplinger) Lampert graduated from Upsala High School in 1987 and competed in basketball. Carol was a five-year letter winner, three-time team MVP and all-conference selection and served as team captain her senior season.

Carol was a devastating force on defense, as her unbelievable quickness allowed her to frustrate and disrupt opposing offenses and destroy the player attempting to bring the ball up the court. Her school record of 629 steals are an amazing feat.

Just as huge as Carol's positive impact was on Upsala girls' basketball team, her presence has been felt just as much by our school district and community. Carol has spent countless hours volunteering in classrooms, doing school fundraising; helping in concession stands; coaching elementary basketball and t-ball, post prom and church. Carol was chosen as the 2010 Volunteer of the Year at Upsala Schools.

Carol is married to Kevin Lampert and they have five children: Justin, Shawn, Brooke, Eric and Levi.

Carol and Kevin are both charter members of the Upsala Ballpark Association. While Carol is preparing for the selling of concessions at the ballparks, Kevin and family donate many hours of time and labor working through UBA on planning and renovating the ballparks and also preparing the fields for play. Carol has also worked as a Para for our school and currently runs a daycare in Upsala.
