Our winter newsletter has gone out with a slightly different delivery system. People with addresses in Swanville, Grey Eagle and Burtrum will receive theirs as an insert from the Long Prairie Leader. Our first 3 bench buddies of the season helped us pull out the 54-53 win against ACGC last night at our home opener! Always great seeing them interact with our players!

Reminder: Tomorrow (Saturday, Dec. 2) will be a boys' and girls' basketball doubleheader in Upsala. The girls will play at 2:30pm and the boys will play at 4:00pm. Both JV squads will play at 1:00pm in separate gyms.
Also, there will be a Hall of Fame induction ceremony at the conclusion of the girls varsity game to honor two new inductees into the Upsala Hall of Fame!

Girls' Basketball kicks off their season opener tonight against Brandon-Evansville. The game will be at the Evansville school (123 2nd Ave W, Evansville MN).

Today students had to make ten layups straight from each side, then make 8-10 free throws, and finally 4-5 three pointers.

Have you heard, that our elementary 5th grade is piloting our first competitive LEGO Robotics team! We have 9 students piloting the event, and Team #64211 - the Upsala Cardinals - will be going to a competition in Bemidji on December 15th! More information to follow!
Mrs. Robertson's Independent Living class has been working hard this semester. one of the latest assignments they had was learning how to tie neck ties. Each student needed to tie their own 3 times, Here is the finished results!

Our 7th and 9th Grade Health classes had the opportunity to learn about where our breakfast and lunches come from and why we get served certain amounts of food to keep us happy and healthy. A HUGE thank you to Head Cook Alice and her crew for teaching us about nutrition in school



Jr. High Music students spent time this morning singing for the residents of the senior living facility. We also took time to play Bingo and chat with the residents. Thank you for welcoming us! Fun!
