The 8th grade Global Studies class explored how to navigate using coordinates with a GPS tool today.

The MSHSL Section 6A committee has made a decision to move all first-round playoff softball games from Tuesday to Monday, May 20th due to projected rain on Tuesday.
With the change, Upsala will host LPGE in the first-round of playoffs for softball on Monday, May 20th at 5:00pm at the Varsity Field.

We found an extra parachute so our juniors and seniors were able to relive their elementary PE years!




The 7th and 9th grade classes did some community service work these past few days. We are very proud of their hard work! The 9th grade even had time for a little basketball.

The 4 Year Old Preschool class had a WONDERFUL end of the year program yesterday in the auditorium! We are so proud of them! Congrats Preschool Class of 2024!

The preschool kids weren't able to go visit their Upsala Senior Living friends this week, but they still made some art to share! Thank you for letting them come visit this year and have a happy summer!

The USA Patriots had an excellent day at the Prairie Conference Track Meet yesterday! Here are some highlights:
Joseph Guthrie took 1st place in the High Jump, the Long Jump, and the Triple Jump. He broke the team record and ALL-TIME CONFERENCE record in the Triple Jump with 43'3"! Joe was named the Prairie Conference MVP.
Nicholas Guthrie took 1st place in Discus, Alyssa Young took 1st place in the Long Jump, and Genevieve Mrozek took first place in the Shot Put.
Benden Mack, Nick Guthrie, Caleb Guthrie, and Jimmy Jensen took 2nd place in the 4x200. Quinn Guthrie, Nick Guthrie, Brayden Mack, and Jimmy Jensen took 2nd place in the 4x800. Alyssa Young took 2nd place in the Triple Jump.
All of these student-athletes earned all-conference awards. Amazing performances! The sub-section track meet will be held at Maple Lake on Tuesday, May 21st. Tickets can be purchased online for $8.00 or at the gate for $10.00. Link below for online tickets from the MSHSL.

High school mentors met with the 6th grade students today to get acquainted and discuss the transition to 7th grade.


There is still room in our after school Ice Cream Science class on Thursday.
We will be using the simplest of techniques for making ice cream - but also teach other methods used.

Today the Kindergarten class delivered Sunshine Bags to senior citizens in Upsala!☀️ It was a great day for our service project!











Our 7th and 9th grade Health classes were able to get certified in CPR with both testing and hands on training. Thank you to the local fire department for helping out!
