Hi everyone,
I hope you’re all enjoying this recent warm-up! After surviving that last arctic blast, seeing the thermometer climb back toward double digits feels like a win for all of us.
As we shake off the frost, our leadership team is looking at ways to make our school calendar work better for your family’s "mental load." We are exploring a few significant shifts for the 2026-2027 school year, including:
Starting Sept. 1: Using MN Statute § 120A.40 to start slightly earlier.
A "May Completion": Wrapping up the school year before Memorial Day weekend.
Strategic Breaks: Adding more "recharge" time during the winter months.
There are no "right" answers yet—we just want to know what your family values most, whether that’s a traditional long summer or more frequent breaks to get through the winter.
