On February 9, FFA teams/individuals competed in many CDEs (Career Development Events) at Regions in Central Lakes College.
FFA Farm Bureau Discussion is designed to simulate a MNFB committee meeting. Participants build basic discussion skills, develop a keen understanding of important agricultural issues and explore how groups can pool knowledge to reach consensus and solve problems. Alexis Krebs received top honors and will advance to state!
Participants in the Crops or Agronomy CDE possess an in-depth knowledge of seeds, insects, soils and crops. They must also demonstrate skills in solving complex problems related to crop production. The Upsala Crops team did excellent and are going to state! Congratulations Alexandra, Austin, Sean and Shelby!
The Ag Mechanics team (Quade Evoiuk, Michael Welinski and Zachary Kulla ) did a great job! The Agricultural Technology and Mechanical Systems CDE helps students develop their technical skills and knowledge and their ability to work with others to solve complex problems. Special congratulations to Zach, for placing 4th high individual and qualifying for state! Woo Hoo team! Good Luck at State Convention April 23-25 at the University of Minnesota in St. Paul!
